👉🏼 I worked my butt off, I did internships, balanced multiple jobs (some of which had me crying in the bathroom), I said yes to everything that came my way, assisted pro’s ‘for great exposure’ (aka for free!), networked like a mad-woman. I did it all.
👉🏼 I was trying to find my place in the industry; degree in hand, experience under my belt, great connections made, but my momentum was slowing down and reality was kicking in. My physical & mental health was suffering, my joy was nowhere to be found and my income was still average AF!
💥 Honestly the concept of staying in one role, slowly climbing the ladder in one company for years, working crazy long hours, no energy for a social life, the commuting, the pressure, the negative hustle culture… ALL for someone else’s dream – made me realise something.
